FOM Invest is an investment manager specialising in real estate and renewable energy assets with comprehensive access to the market, the necessary resources and the required expertise. In the office segment, our focus is on locations in city centres and district hubs in all of Germany. In the retail sector we concentrate on top locations in German conurbations with strong demand characteristics. Our real estate investment strategy focuses on individual buildings as well as city quarters. Our focus in the photovoltaic segment encompasses various types of systems: ground-mounted, roof-mounted and special systems. When selecting projects, we emphasise long-term power purchase agreements as well as a balanced technical, geographical and economic risk approach. We monitor current developments and the utilisation of high-yielding opportunities in the areas of repowering and energy storage technology.

With its transformation into the BRAWO GROUP, Volksbank BRAWO has set the course for a successful future. The five business divisions Finance, Green Energy, Real Estate, Corporate Investments and Corporate Responsibility are consolidated under this strong brand. Around 400 companies approximately 3,400 employees operate independently and efficiently in their respective markets. The Real Estate division bundles the activities of the real estate business, which successfully deals with the development, financing, marketing, and management of private and commercial real estate, among other things. In the Green Energy field, the BRAWO GROUP promotes sustainable, environmentally friendly, and decentralized energy supply. With its range of services, not least as a project developer for renewable energies, it provides its customers and partners with the best possible support on their path to climate neutrality.
As an owner-managed company, FOM Real Estate has designed, planned, built and realised complex projects with a volume of more than EUR 4 billion throughout Germany and abroad for more than 286 years. From its headquarters in Heidelberg, it had already regularly worked with renowned national and international capital partners before taking the decision to establish FOM Invest in 2019 in order to expand its value chain.
FOM Invest received its real estate business license in September 2020, and the first fund was launched in March 2021. Four additional funds have followed in recent years. In the course of applying for the renewable energies asset class in 2023, the KVG business license was expanded accordingly.
